Overview
Lang Son is a frontier province in the northeast of Vietnam with 231,74 kilometers of borderline. So, Lang Son features 2 international gates of rail and road adjoin to Guangxi province of China. So compared to other provinces in the northern mountainous region, the economy of Lang Son is more developing though in general, this province still meets a lot of difficulties.
Lang Son has a lot of potentials to develop tourism because, except the natural sites, this province owns more than 600 relics in term of traditional cultures, religion, and beliefs such as Chi Lang Edge, The Mac citadel, etc. Each year, there are over 300 traditional festivals happened in the province, this is the cultural productions of ethnic groups living in the province such as the Tay, Kinh, Nung, H’mong, etc, each of them has its own cultural features which represent for the religion, culture, costume of its ethnic group. The province endowed with many beautiful caves such as Tam Thanh, Nhi Thanh, To Thi mountain, etc. Moreover, Lang Son is well-known for owning many oldest and sacred pagodas and temples in Vietnam which go into the idioms and poems of Vietnam such as Bac Le temple, Ki Cung-Ta Phu temple, Mother Dong Dang temple, Tan Thanh pagoda, Thanh pagoda, etc.
Lang Son cuisine is recognized as the special and attractive cuisine of Vietnam which has typical regional favor with the famous dishes such as roasted duck, roasted pork, khau nhuc, sour noodle.
